This is a Legacy Piece from my earlier collection. I utilized a multi-layer stencil process to define Alice’s iconic face paint and snarl, followed by hand-applied professional acrylics to ensure high-saturation color and a physical, tactile texture. Once this specific original is gone, I will not be recreating this exact design, making it a unique addition to your archive.
The Process & Materials: Unlike mass-produced décor, these panels are hand-prepared. While sourced as 8×8 inches, the nature of hand-worked wood means dimensions may vary by a few millimeters. This gives each piece a unique, rustic profile that looks just as good sitting on a studio shelf as it does hanging on a wall.
The Finish: To protect the artwork and enhance the “nightmare” aesthetic, the entire piece is finished with a protective satin varnish. This deepens the blacks and the blood-red background while eliminating the harsh, cheap-looking reflections caused by room lighting. Each original is signed on the front and arrives with pre-installed hardware, ready to hang.
