As part of the TRL Collection, I created this piece using custom-cut stencils to define Avril’s signature look, followed by meticulously hand-applied layers of high-saturation professional acrylics. This physical process creates a depth and texture that perfectly captures the bold, rebellious aesthetic of the era.
UV Reactive “Glow” Feature: To truly capture the neon-soaked energy of the 2000s, I utilized specialized fluorescent pigments. All pink tones in this painting are blacklight reactive, meaning they will glow vividly under UV light, making this a dynamic centerpiece for a studio, media room, or gallery wall.
The Process & Materials: This work is hand-painted on a professional-grade 11×14″ stretched canvas. Unlike thin prints, this physical object has a presence on the wall. The entire painting is finished with a protective satin varnish, which deepens the black tones and protects the neon pigments while eliminating the harsh, distracting reflections caused by room lighting. The edges are painted to match the background, so it arrives at your door ready to hang immediately.
