I remade thinksobrain.com again. I didn’t do a complete overhaul - I just made things bigger and made some things work better. The main thing I changed was the nav bar, using a similar style to what I use here on ThinkSoJoE’s thoughts. I didn’t really think the divider tabs looked right in the context I used them in, so I redid them. I’m very happy with how things turned out this time around, though I don’t think I’ll ever be 100% satisfied for very long.
… then again, that’s probably why I own a website called “BoredWrestlingFan,” huh? A few months back I’d be with the rest of thinksobrain every Saturday, getting wasted and making music. This week I was asleep on the couch early out of sheer boredom. Quite frankly, I need a car, because I could’ve been at a party tonight instead of sitting around doing nothing.
I did post an entry over at my friend Eric’s blog earlier, but that was more out of wanting to drop by and say hello (and shill my family of websites) to some old friends. If you want to see an old picture of me back in the early days of Fropac Entertainment, he’s got a gallery on there called “Crazy Bowling,” and there’s a picture in that collection of me wearing an offspring shirt and a backwards red hat a la Fred Durst (despite the fact that it’s actually a Goldfinger hat). I look way better now!
My tutorial on the WordPress nav bar with current page highlighting got some praise on the CSS-Tricks forums by none other than Chris Coyier himself. That meant a lot to me because if it weren’t for CSS-Tricks, I’d still be stuck making crap that looks like stupid5pin.net. Compare that to stupid5pin.com, and you’ll see exactly what I mean.
I’ve got my next two projects in mind. The first is to fix some design flaws in thinksobrain.com. The next I think is going to be some work for charity, but I don’t really want to say anything until I actually do something. I will be taking clients still, if anybody is interested in utilizing my work.
